Final Wash Out

I own a new washing machine and I'm pleased with my decision. Time is money and because I did all the work myself, I now needed some compensation for my time.

Once I had decided on the machine that was right for my needs, I checked the price of the machine I wanted by phoning a few stores, and checking an on-line store. I found the store with the cheapest price, which was a store I had already visited and one where I received blunt attention, but not service. So, even though they had the lowest price, I returned and negotiated another 12% off that price. The salesperson didn't know what my needs were and so had nothing to negotiate with besides the price. He didn't know that I really wanted the machine today, no matter what. If I'd had good service ( instead of pushy attention that directed me to the model that they wanted to sell me ) on my first visit, I would have been more likely to buy on the day and pay close to their original asking price.
